Rosie Huntington-Whiteley for Marks & Spencer

Rosie Huntington- Whiteley is an English Actress and Model, who started collaborating with Marks & Spencer in 2012.
Her ‘Rosie For Autograph’ range started off with vintage inspired Lingerie, which is fabulous by the way- I wear it myself and later expanded to include sleepwear, fragrance and active wear.
The latest addition to this expansion is a complete cosmetics collection, which launched on Wednesday 27 January 2016.

WHAT DOES ROSIE HUNTINGTON-WHITELEY HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THIS COLLECTION?
"For me, make-up made sense as the next step because I have a genuine love for it. Like lingerie and fragrance it's something that's very personal to a woman, and something that we use every day. When we started, we considered a capsule collection, but once we began playing around there were so many things I wanted to include. We wanted it to suit everybody - all ages, all skin types - and for that you obviously need to have a certain amount of product. That's a philosophy we've brought over from the lingerie, things being for everybody, and I hope that's what we've achieved."

WHAT DOES THE BLACK MANNEQUIN HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THIS COLLECTION?
From what I have personally seen, the line has a parallel to her Rosie for Autograph lingerie collections as it utilizes a lot of neutrals with the colour palette comprising of pinks, creams, browns and metallics. I believe this to be a winning combination as it makes the collection extremely versatile. You can easily wear this everyday and build it up for a night-time look.
In addition to that, I love the vintage inspired packaging which gives the collection a very premium feel and at first glance poses subtle similarity to the Charlotte Tilbury range for a fraction of the price with pieces ranging from £10- £18. I would love to see her develop the range a little more, perhaps by introducing some make-up brushes.

THE COLLECTION
ps. some of these come in a range of colours but I have only posted two of each to avoid a picture heavy post.

Grey Matter

Hey Guys & Dolls,
Welcome back! *MASE voice*
I hope y’all had an amazing weekend. Yesterday, I was washing the dishes and it clicked in my head, why Kanye rides so hard for Beyoncé.
I won’t go into the details for lack of time but I want you guys to understand how extraordinary it is to have a friend that rides for you no matter what.
In the last decade, a lot of friends have come and gone and some have stayed and some graduated into family but whatever the title, I have always wondered who had my back like I had theirs. Don’t get me wrong, I am not insecure, I think I love too hard. Once you’re in my heart, there you will be forever no matter what happens. I guess what I am trying to establish is, who really down for the kid? who is really there to hold me upright when I fall? Give me a hand when my wings forget to fly? And lend me some juice when I’m running on empty?
Last week, I finally understood what it meant to have a Kanye in my corner. To have a friend who believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself, a friend who actually showed me that our friendship came first even when I didn’t deserve it. I am honoured and I can only pray that it is a relationship that I have for the rest of my life.

Ciel Bleu

Hey Guys & Dolls,
My week has been pretty hectic and I have been thinking of a way to encourage everyone but unfortunately I just couldn’t find the words.
As difficult as it may be sometimes, I like to find the beauty in everything and just as I was about to give up on this post altogether, the song ‘Blue Sky’ by Common popped in my head and it perfectly encapsulated everything I was feeling so I am going to leave the lyrics below and pray that it inspires somebody.

Aston Martin king, Luther with dreams
The young Denzel the way I move through scenes
I’m like a preacher that once was a fiend
A story of change that came with wings
Pretty as the skyline, the sky is my eye line
Son of the most so from up high I shine
Suited in Prada, stay mellow like LaLa
Young fresh with dollars, ladies go gaga
I’m the cum lauda, top of the class
Black Wall Street so my stock will never crash
Given what I ask, pure religion and cash
From the windows that open, I’m raising my glass
Day light beams, night light schemes
This is my Inception, I’m writing my dreams
Immortal view of a star doing what I’m born to do
I see the blue sky, say the Lord’s coming through

Oh-oooh-oh, in the sky we’ll find the light
Oh-oooh-oh, ain’t too high we’ll shine at night
Now we in the skies, blue skies
And we going higher, last night

It all started with a dream, I wanted to be Run D.M.C
The Lord put the blessing upon the MC
O to the M, dreams were spoken to him
That’s when I knew my flows would overflow to the rim
Open my eyes, yes sir this is what I’m made for
To go hard in the paint like D. Wade or
D. Rose, from the same streets that we rose
International heroes at world premo’s
Red carpet, imagine taking pictures with the president
Told him for health care, my music is the medicine
My name holds weight, I am never hesitant
Different state resident, this is hood elegance
SLS classic, pursuing my passion
Known for Fashion, now I’m Oscar party crashing
Immortal view of a star doing what I’m born to do
I see the blue sky, say the Lord’s coming through

Silhouettes of dreams that we had huh
Even now it don’t seem so bad ma
Close my eyes to see things in front of me
I’m gone now, imagine what I’m gonna be
30 to worthy, now I’m all worldly
My broad up in Paris, looking all purrty
Immortal view of a star doing what I’m born to do
I see the blue sky; say the Lord’s coming through

I had these dreams in my head of an endless sphere
I could see it from my window
Wouldn’t take that long to get me there
Keep running 'til I can’t go
Remember the beautiful things that life could give me
Crazy how I’m the one
Could’ve been anywhere, but I’m sitting in the air
With the wolves up staring at the sun
Ohh, in the sky we’ll find the light
Ohh, ain’t too high we’ll shine at night
No we in the skies, blue skies
And we going higher, last night
