Beau.

Hey Guys & Dolls,
Welcome back to my blog. I wanted to show you an amalgamation of interpretations that entwine both the A/W and S/S’17 catwalks. This look is heavily influenced by Menswear, which has served as an infinite source for Womenswear designers.
This shirt was given to me as a gift when I worked as a Brand Ambassador last year and I fell in love with it because it doubles as both a shirt (plain/deconstructed) and a dress for me. I had numerous ideas about how I wanted to style it (many of which I can’t wait to show y’all), but then I found this bustier in my closet, which I presently cannot wear because I’m carrying a little extra weight right now.
I love playing with texture, with colours and with themes/eras, which explains my current obsession with this western inspired choker that I have been wearing everyday since I got it. I wanted to combine the different elements to create something unique.

New In VII

Hey Guys & Dolls,
Welcome back to my blog. If you have me on Snapchat (BLACKMNQN), you would have seen me cleaning my makeup and re-organising my makeup drawer a few days ago. In addition to that, I was adding in new pieces that I have amassed over the last three months and thought, why not photograph them for all of our viewing pleasures.

I have been interested in Stila Cosmetics for a while now, especially since they re-formulated their liquid lipsticks formula. I had previously purchased the colours, Aria and Patina but in the end returned them for two new colours, Ricco and Notte both of which are dark, vampy and up my alley.
In addition to that, I couldn’t help but buy one of the new Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye shadow colours in the colour ‘Gold Goddess’. I haven’t taken a photograph because I intend on returning it and getting ‘Kitten Karma’ or ‘Rose Gold Retro’ instead. Finally, I bought an iridescent highlighter in the colour ‘Transcedence’ for nothing but the colour. I had seen an editorial post on Facebook a few months before which haunted me day and night and proposed to re-create it so I bought the highlighter (as if I needed any more highlighters).

In addition, I bought a lilac eyeliner from NYX and for no reason other than me wanting to emulate a unicorn. I have been slightly obsessed with unicorns this month, LOL!
Finally, I bought some items from Kylie Cosmetics’ Valentine collection. I bought the ‘Smooch’ kit because it had an eye shadow and a liquid lipstick in that vampy burgundy tone that I love so much. I also purchased a pink liquid lipstick in the shade ‘Valentine’ because I don’t own a lot of pinks and I thought I’d round off my collection with something just as loud as I am; just in time for spring.

Kylie cosmetics sent me ‘Head Over Heels’ accidentally because they messed up my order and whilst they’ve rectified the situation, I still got to keep it which kind of makes up for the ridiculous custom charges I had to pay to receive this package in the UK.
Lastly, I bought ‘Brown Sugar’ because I wanted to try a nude brown lipstick that wasn’t necessarily on the dark side.
Do you guys own any of these items? Let me know in the comments below.

Songbird

Hey Guys & Dolls,
Welcome back to my blog. As you may have noticed, I now have grey hair with some platinum blonde sections. Due to this, I have amassed some new nicknames; most of which are superheroes.
I wanted to pay homage to a Marvel character, Songbird aka Screaming Mimi because it reminded me of my childhood. I recently came across a comic with Screaming Mimi and I fell in love with her character, superpowers and her signature look.
Before I get attacked, this is by no means cosplay. I am simply having fun with songbird’s signature colours.

Fly Ass Pisces IV

Hey Guys & Dolls,
This look right here is dedicated entirely to one of my favourite Style Icons, Robyn Fenty also known as, Rihanna.
Ever since Rihanna performed the ‘What’s My Name? extended remix on The X-Factor UK, I have been in love with her. With her aura, her smile, her legs and her style. If you’ve read my ‘STYLE ICONS II’ post, you will know just how much I adore her style.
Rihanna’s outfit at the 2016 Brit Awards, where she performed with SZA and DRAKE, inspires my second birthday look. She had on a pair of gorgeous white fringed boot pants coupled with a white long sleeved crop top by NORMA KAMALI and she was nothing short of amazing.
I decided to re-create the look when I saw these pants on the NastyGal site. I hope I did it justice.
